St. EAS’s Summer Mission Teams traveled to many places in the past including New York, West Virginia, New Orleans, LA., Joplin, MO., and Cincinnati, OH.
We have helped in rebuilding efforts, volunteered with a variety of agencies that serve human needs such as serving food to the hungry, and shared our faith through street evangelization.
More Than a Mission Trip! We meet monthly, we work together at our Lenten Fish Fries, we do a team service project and have a special day just for the Mission Teams. We’re a Team before we leave on the mission trip! Mission Trips often include a Franciscan University Youth Conference. This conference is a powerful experience of Christ and our Catholic faith that no teen should miss!
All teens who have finished 9th grade are welcomed and encouraged to apply for a Mission Team. Detailed information packets and applications are available here and in the parish offices.
March for Life Chicago
Come join us as we march to protect life in Chicago with thousands of others. We will be taking the train to Chicago on January 14. Please drop your permission form off to the Parish office by January 2. Use the drop box outside the main office doors, if the office is closed.
Totus Tuus is a week long summer youth camp held in the evenings. Dynamic college students will share their energy, enthusiasm, and love of the Catholic faith with the youth of our parish here at St. EAS.
Totus Tuus means “totally yours, Lord”. Youth will develop a closer personal relationship with the Lord through songs, games, skits, and other activities. There is also a strong emphasis on our Catholic traditions and devotions.
Registration forms are available on line or in the parish office starting in May. If you have any questions about the program, please contact the YM office.
