Women’s Group Advent Dinner
December 1 @ 6:00 pm
Mark your calendar and start thinking about attending the Advent Dinner hosted by
the St. EAS Women’s Group on Friday, December 1st.
The idea of this dinner is to gather together with 7-9 of your girlfriends to share a
delicious meal, enjoy the company of other parishioners and their guests, and kick
off the holy season of Advent together.
There is one hostess who “hosts” a table for her guests. She will be provided with invites to send to her guests.
The hostess sets the table with all of her own tableware, linens and decorations. The hostess provides one bottle of wine (to be shared) for the Reception Table. The hostess only needs to provide the wine, dessert, dessert plates, butter and (hopefully) 1-2 male servers for her table. The dinner is provided for by the Women’s Group with a free-will offering taken to help offset the cost of the dinners.
The evening begins with a reception hour of wine and cheese while ladies socialize and go around to view all of the different hostess’ tables. During dinner, there is some lovely live musical entertainment and time to reflect on the holy season that is coming upon us.
Everyone is also asked to help provide for some of the needs of the disadvantaged in our area by collecting goods for Passageways and PADS. Donations are taken at the door.
The Women’s Group Advent Dinner is a lovely tradition here at St EAS, and one you should consider
participating in this year if you have never participated before. Think about hosting a table! Watch the bulletin for more information regarding table reservations.
